Djibouti on Wednesday reported 72 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total to 435.
This is one of the highest in the Horn of Africa.
According to statement by Health ministry, the new cases were reported out of 580 laboratory tests.
It said 71 COVID-19 patients have recovered, 15 of whom in the past 24 hours.
Djibouti has conducted a total of 5936 COVID-19 tests so far.
The country lost two people to the disease.
Over the weekend, the Ministry of Health reported the second COVID-19 inflicted death in the Red Sea nation, after the country reported its first COVID-19 death on 9th April.
Djibouti, which reported its first confirmed case on March 18, has so far conducted about 4,451 COVID-19 tests, according to the Ministry of Health.
