The Minister of Health of South West State, Abdiqadir Shariif Sheikhuna maye, today oversaw the delivery of essential medicines and medical supplies to hospitals across the state in baidao.
The Ministry of Health and Social Care of the South West State Government of Somalia today visited hospitals in Baidoa and delivered medicines and various medical supplies to three hospitals in the city: Bay Regional Hospital, Bay Haaw Hospital, and Baidoa District Hospital.
The medicines and medical supplies are intended to strengthen the hospitals’ capacity to respond to medical emergencies and ensure that patients requiring urgent healthcare services receive adequate and timely care.
The Minister of Health and Social Care of South West State, Hon. Abdiqadir Sharif Sheikhuna, attended the delivery of medicines and medical supplies at Bay Regional Hospital.
During his visit, the Minister inspected various departments of Bay Regional Hospital and spoke with patients to learn about their health conditions, medical needs, and the services they are receiving.
The Minister also received briefings from the hospital administration and healthcare workers.
He inspected different medical service departments and reviewed how the hospital is responding to the healthcare needs of the local community.
The Minister was accompanied during the visit by officials from the Ministry of Health and representatives of the administration of Bay Regional Hospital.
The delivery is aimed at strengthening healthcare services and ensuring that hospitals have the necessary supplies to provide treatment and support to patients.
Speaking during the handover, Minister Abdiqadir Shariif Sheikh reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting healthcare facilities and improving access to medical services.

The latest support is expected to help health facilities address shortages of essential medicines and improve the quality and continuity of healthcare services for communities in South West State.
The South West State Ministry of Health and Social Care said it will continue its efforts to strengthen healthcare services and emergency preparedness, with a focus on saving lives and improving patient care.
