The acting Prime Minister Khadar Mohamed Gulaid has today formally handed over the office to new Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
Roble was appointed on 17th of this month by president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
Speaking at a ceremony held in Mogadishu, Prime minister Roble pledge to create an effective government that addresses some of the key issues facing the country, including having fair presidential and parliamentary elections.
The prime is also needed to make significant efforts to consolidate security gains and pave the way for peaceful elections.
Some of the tasks he faces is to meet, accelerating efforts to eradicate al-Shabaab which recently started attacks on SNA in southern.
