Diinsoor, Bay Region, Somalia — The Commissioner of Diinsoor District and Mayor of the town, Ibrahim Mohamed Nur Shigshigow, has led a planned security operation conducted by security forces in and around Diinsoor District, Bay Region.
The operation was jointly carried out by AUSSOM forces, the Somali National Army (SNA), and South West State Darawish forces, with the aim of strengthening security and protecting civilians living in the district and surrounding areas.
During the operation, the forces conducted security patrols and operations in several areas on the outskirts of Diinsoor. The district commissioner directly supervised and led the forces involved in the operation.
The Diinsoor District administration said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security, protect civilians, and maintain stability across the area.
The administration also emphasized that such operations are important for preventing security threats and activities that could undermine peace and stability in Diinsoor and its surrounding areas.
The operation comes as Somali government and South West State security forces continue efforts to improve security and counter armed groups operating in parts of the region.
