South West State President Abdiasis Hassan Mohammed has paid a visit to soldiers wounded in the fight against Al-shabaab insurgents in Bakool. President Abdiasis commended soldiers in Huddur for taking the fight to terrorists whose sole aim is to kill or maim citizens.
South West State President handed money to wounded soldiers in recognition of their valour to protect citizens’ life and limb. President Hassan visited development projects being implemented in Huddur, the adminstrative capital of Bakool.
Locals shared with President Hassan stories about how the district administration appointed by South West State is making a difference to their lives. “We are no longer worried about the possibility of Al-shabaab retaking Huddur. They are not a match for Somali soldiers” one elder said.
South West State has allocated a budget to boost public services such as education, health, animal husbandry and security in a region bordering Ethiopia.
